We also focus on what’s going on here at home.  We promote open and fair town government. We attend meetings, share info on this website and our Facebook page.  We believe in and encourage serving on boards, commissions and around town for the greater good of Haddam, Higganum, and Haddam Neck.

The HDTC is an elected body of about 45 Haddam, Higganum and Haddam Neck registered Democrats that meet once a month to promote Democratic candidates and local causes.

Do you have to be a Democrat to be on the HDTC?

You do have to be a registered democrat to be nominated and voted in to The Haddam Democratic Town Committee itself.  But you don’t have to be a member to come to our meetings. It is open to any registered democrat and unaffiliated Haddam, Higganum, or Haddam Neck town resident. You can participate in discussions and activities and you can run for an office,  but you only have voting privileges when you are a member of the HDTC.  You can be nominated for membership at our meetings.
